In its preparation for the EURO 2008, Dutch National Team defeated Ukraine 3-0. The goals arrived by the approach of Dirk Kuyt at 23 minutes, by Klaas Jan Huntelaar at 38 minutes and Ryan Babel at 18 in the second half. Kuyt had previously scored in the 2-1 defeat against Switzerland in August 2007. With a convincing performance Holland demonstrated the powerful in Rotterdam thinking about Switzerland - Austria.
