Croatia did not convince but Niko Kovac beat Moldova

In Rijeka, the local team defeated Moldova (38th in FIFA Ranking) with only a single goal thinking about EURO 2008. Croatian captain Niko Kovac scored the goal in the 30th minute. Coach Slaven Bilic is searching for the EURO 2008 strikers after Eduardo da Silva injury, and tried Ivic Olic and Igor Budan in the first half, and Ivan Klasnic and Nikola Kalinic after the break.
